Tapestry
Loom Tapestry
weaving is considered by many to be the most personal of all
weaving. Among the simplest of looms, the tapestry loom holds
a continuous warp under tension, allowing the weaver to see
all of the warp at once. Sheds are formed using heddle bars
and string heddles. While only two heddle bars are needed for
traditional tapestry weaving, we provide four heddle bars so
that beginning weavers can also experiment with 4-shaft pattern
weaving.
To
keep the warp tension even throughout your weaving, the tapestry
loom has a tension beam with thumbscrews on the end which allow
for easy adjustment. Available in 18" and 25" weaving
widths, this continuous warping system allows a 60" long
warp to be put directly on the loom without using any other
warping tools.
A-Frame
Stand
Designed
for use with the portable tapestry looms, the A-Frame Stand
inexpensively answers the question of how to hold the loom upright
on the table top or the floor while weaving. The adjustable
side arms let you vary the angle, and may be folded up for storage.

School
Loom What's
most important in a loom for young weavers is that it ensures
success. This simple frame loom was designed to do just that.
It has a 15" weaving width, a built-in stand for upright
use on the floor or a table top, plus durable, 6 per inch, plastic
warp spacers for uniform warping. Students of all ages will
find it easy to use. Included with each loom are two pick-up
sticks, a weaving needle, and simple warping and weaving instructions.
The School Loom is made of hard maple and left unfinished.
Mini
Loom Weaving Kit This
handy weaving kit includes everything you need to weave. The
Mini Loom is made of durable plastic and is easy to thread.
Two shuttles, a beater and a weaving needle are included in
the kit along with enough yarn to weave a project. Complete
instructions with clear line drawings provide all the necessary
information for setting up the loom and weaving. Instructions
are provided for two projects.
Includes:
mini loom, 2 shuttles, weaving needles, beater, 5 colors of
yarn, and complete instructions.
Inkle
Loom Inkle
looms are great for start-up weaving programs because they require
little additional equipment, are easy to use and understand,
and are easily stored. The Schacht Inkle loom is built with
years of heavy use in mind. It has one open side for ease of
warping. The tension bar has an easy grip handle for adjusting
the warp tension during weaving.
The
belt shuttle has one beveled edge which is great for both holding
yarn and for beating the weft.
